I think your first celebrity sighting is the most exciting. And mine of Richard Chamberlain is a memorable one. I had just moved to California from Michigan and one day was walking down Sunset Blvd. I was about to cross La Cienega Blvd. headed toward the famous Schwabs drugstore, when I noticed a tall blond guy headed towards me. He was wearing a light blue shirt unbuttoned and the breeze was showing of his tan skin and hairy chest. As he grew closer and we walked past each other, it registered in my brain,
"That's the actor (from the then popular television show Dr. Kildare) Richard Chamberlain" he was so handsome and seeing him close up gave my young heart a lift. I was walking on air thinking....I'm really in Hollywood!
